Frequently Asked Questions

  • Christian life coaching is the art and practice of enabling individuals and groups to move from where they are to where God wants them to be by taking an inside-out approach. In other words, coaches endeavour to draw out what God has deposited in their clients. Having the right coach in your life can be a transformational experience. It can truly be the difference between you going from defeat to victory, and from stagnation to productivity and purpose.

  • People seek coaching because they want something to be different. Coaching is about making changes. Coaches and the people they coach know that in order for the future to be different, we need to change the way we do things in the present. Often, change involves shifts in attitudes, thinking, perceptions, and behaviour.

A Christian coach can help you do things like: discover and develop your passions, find your life purpose, build a clear vision for your future, get unstuck and move forward, learn to think and see things differently, get free of destructive self-talk, build confidence, and develop a stronger walk with God.

  • Counseling often focuses on problems such as depression, anxiety, spiritual struggles, emotional issues, conflicts, etc. A counselor is usually someone who is an expert in psychology and other therapeutic skills.

Coaching focuses on the present and future possibilities, reaching goals, getting unstuck, and finding fulfillment. Coaching is done by someone with training in coaching skills such as listening, questioning, and encouraging. The coach and the client are equals who work together to bring change.

As your coach, this does not mean we will never talk about the past. You often need to overcome past struggles to develop a healthy mindset for your future. I can equip you with both Scripture and questioning techniques that will help you reflect, break strongholds in your mind, and improve your actions and decisions.

  • Just as you would pay for a therapist, nutritionist, or any other service of value, people will pay for coaching.

The Coaching Haven is NOT charging people for deliverance, healing, to hear the gospel, to receive Christ or to receive prayer. Although these are benefits to be received in sessions.
